Project Description

The EPC2 and EPC4 projects, completed between 2016 and 2018 by ISKER, represented a significant and spectacular achievement in the field of Offshore & Onshore oil and gas production.. The project successfully added 13 additional wells to the existing 20 wells, greatly expanding oil and gas output in the region, with the installation of seven wellheads at EPC-2 and six wellheads at EPC-4.
The development of Kashagan, in the harsh offshore environment of the northern part of the Caspian Sea, represents a unique combination of technical and supply chain complexity.
The combined safety, engineering, logistical and environmental challenges make it one of the largest and most complex industrial projects currently being developed anywhere in the world. the Project EPC 2 and 4 is a continuation of abovementioned field Kashagan development  and it contains offshore blocks A and D located in the north part of Kashagan field.
Topside Production Manifold Modules weighing a whopping 1597 tonnes and measuring 86 metres in length, 19 metres in width, and 12 metres in height were part of the project’s scope. They required complicated Chrome-molybdenum, Super-duplex, and Inconel overlay welding, load-in, load-out, and installation. The installation of 110,000 metres of cable and the execution of 224 individual hydrotests at sea help to make this project a remarkable technical achievement.
The project was completed in 1 million manhours at the offshore islands despite the numerous difficulties encountered during execution, including technical risks during the load-in of 1600 tonnes, limited execution window due to sea ice periods, variations in sea level, high H2S content, complex pipe & pipeline welding, and limited marine access.
Successful completion of this project is a reflection of the company’s experience and dedication to producing remarkable outcomes and will have a significant impact on the RoK economy. The EPC2 and EPC4 project is a showcase for the firm’s talents in the oil and gas sector, and with good reason.
